Aster DM Healthcare headquartered in Dubai launched its operations in Qatar in 2003 and now operates with six medical centres, six pharmacies and diagnostic services. DM Healthcare has grown exponentially under the brand ‘Aster’ to provide quality healthcare at the affordable cost of over 20,000 customers a day delivered across 9 countries, through 317 establishments which include 34 Hospitals, 131 Clinics and 527 Retail Pharmacies. It has 33904 employees including full-time doctors, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics and admin & executive staffs as of January, 2024. Aster DM Healthcare’s Qatar Operations is a full-service primary health care provider that manages the following Medical Centres, Diagnostic Services and Pharmacies. Our clinic provides specialized medical and dental services at no cost to low-income underinsured and uninsured patients. A graduate from the University of Michigan, Ann Abor with a concentration in Finance and Accounting she worked with Ernst & Young in England for 7 years and qualified as a chartered accountant during the course of her training there. Post that she came back to Dubai to work with DM Healthcare, as Finance Director for Medcare for a year. After, a year she was posted to look after corporate strategies and affairs for the group. This mainly involved building underlying corporate functions which can be building blocks between and across the various verticals of DM healthcare. This includes areas such as training and development, appraisals, new business opportunities such as MVT, setting up a central purchasing committee and other corporate initiatives. More recently, she has stepped into a more global role overlooking the Gulf operations of Aster Hospitals and Clinics.
DR. NAZAR MOOPANGroup Medical Director, Aster Qatar
Dr.Mohammed Nazar Moopan is the Medical Director of Aster DM Healthcare – Qatar. Dr.Nazar Moopan has completed his MBBS from Calicut Medical College in India. Upon the completion of his House Surgency, he pursued DLO, M.S in ENT from J.J.M Medical College in Mysore, India. With more than two decades of experience in healthcare, he became a part of Aster DM Healthcare in 2002 as the Medical Director and Chief of Staff.
He plays a key role in the continued development of Aster DM Healthcare. Prior to Joining Aster Medical Centre, as ENT Specialist, he has worked with Moopens Hospital at Kannur, India.
DR. KAPIL CHIBChief Operating Officer (COO), Aster Qatar
An accomplished health care professional, starting his hospital administrative career as a Deputy Medical Superintendent with a leading tertiary care hospital, he held leadership positions with leading health care groups.
He lead SPS Apollo Hospital a JCI accredited hospital, as a Deputy Director Medical Services and SPS Hospitals a JCI accredited quarternary care facility as Joint Director Medical Services. He was Regional Director with Ivy group of hospitals prior to joining Aster DMH in 2017. With over 20 years of experience in health care he is known for leadership skills and domain knowledge.
