The patient is expected to consume only fluids and soft foods for the first two weeks after the surgery since they might suffer from mild throat pain. It is also advised to avoid flying for the first two weeks since changing air pressure can cause extreme discomfort to the patient. One must remember that there is a slight chance of adenoid growing back after surgery. There's also a small risk of developing infections after the surgery.
