Dr. Joy Ellen Buela is a General Physician of Aster Medical Centre, C Ring Road. She pursued Doctor of Medicine from Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Maynila College of Medicine and later pursued Masters of Science in Epidemiology from University of Philippines. Apart from these, she also holds certifications in Bachelor of Science in Zoology, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Arts in Nursing Administration.

She has over a decade of clinical experience. In order to continuously learn and update herself in the vast field of medicine, Dr.Joy Ellen has attended numerous seminars and Professional training such as HIV/AIDS: Update on Handling, Counseling and Legal Issues, Post Graduate course on Occupational Health and Safety, DOTS-Seminar on Tuberculosis Management Program, Third Hepatitis B Summit, Philippines College of Occupational Medicine Annual Convention and few more. Prior to Aster Medical Centre, she worked at IMSD, Manila Doctors Hospital in Industrial Medical Services Department as a Department Chairman. She has also worked in reputed hospitals such as Justice Jose Santos General Hospital and Medicard Philippines Inc in the Philippines.
